Why hello there, March.

Posted by Caitlin on Mar 1, 2009 in Uncategorized

Is it just me, or does it seem as though this year has been nothing but flying by? It almost feels as though ‘09 is in superdrive or something. And sadly, the days seem to all be running together, at least lately. Granted there have been a few awesome events (Tyra!) and other random happenings, but otherwise it’s been the same cycle of daily living. I just feel like my life is passing by too quickly. I mean hell, the Phillies were on TV yesterday. Baseball, already?!

I will admit, I’ve been bad this year too. Usually at this point I’ve kept at least one of my resolutions for the year, but this year I haven’t even made any resolutions. Bad right?! Oh well, maybe I can kick start off some resolutions with Lent. How about you guys? Please tell me I’m not the only bad one out there ;)

Something for you!

Posted by Caitlin on Feb 9, 2009 in blurbs, life, sponsered

Looking for some extra cash? I found the perfect opportunity for you guys. It’s called PayingPost.com.

As a stay-at-home momma of two little ones, and a nursing student, you can imagine things get hectic around here. It’s hard for me to work a lot of hours between my schedule and the hubby’s, but now with blog advertising from It’s called PayingPost.com, I can sit back and make a few extra bucks, all while doing something that I already love to do anyway. Blogging! I know I’ve promoted other sites that are similar before, but so far, this is one is my favorite. It gives you the option to do something you love, and I never have to leave the comfort of my own home, along with being with my little ones. It’s a great feeling to know I can take care of my children, and make money blogging.

In case you’re new to the world of getting paid to blog, it’s the easiest thing you can do. I started doing it to make a few extra bucks for groceries (having a kid with multiple food allergies can get costly), and other amenities we may not have been able to afford otherwise. The posting part is easy - you get paid to post about things you like. Everything from home improvement, to business, to photography. You name it, you can blog about it. How great is that? Why wouldn’t you want to join?! And, if you want to make more money, you can add up to ten blogs, TEN! Imagine the possibilities with that….they’re almost endless! I’m actually very excited to try my hand at this new website. I think there will be a lot of fun posting options available, along with extra money to go around.

I really recommend that you all go and register for Payingpost.com - I promise you won’t be disappointed :)

I can haz relaxation?!

Posted by Caitlin on Jan 23, 2009 in daily, life, school

Oh man, I’m so glad that it’s the weekend. I’ve been on complete overload for the past three weeks. Between school, work, and various doctor’s appointments, there has barely been time for anything. Note to self: Never take an entire semester’s worth of class in a two week period, ever again. Monday-Sat for 4hrs a day doesn’t make me a happy person. I’m so glad that’s over with. Despite the class being interesting, it’s not something you can cram into two weeks like that….I studied my little butt off! Thank God it’s over! I CAN RELAX!

It’s sad that I’ve been so busy the past three weeks because of school, and trying to play catch up with everything else. I have nothing interesting to blog about. Man…..what has my life become?! Although, I did manage to throw some fun in there. Saturday, I went to a cancer benefit for one of my best friend’s brother’s friends, and got totally wrecked - like I haven’t been wrecked in a long time - and not on purpose. You’d think I’d know better than to go out on about 3hrs worth of sleep and no food. Duh, Cait! And sadly, there’s pictures to prove it…..ahh! And last night, I went to the Melting Pot in AC with the girls. It was fabulous, as always. And, there were free massages because it was Girl’s Night Out. Who doesn’t love chocolate, wine, and massages?!

Sadly, that’s the only stuff worth blogging about from the past few weeks. Sad how my life has become, isn’t it? Oh well…..life is finally easier now. And for the next few months…I’m so excited. I’m going to manage to relax as much as possible. Starting now….good night!
PS. I managed to score the new Bruce album a few weeks ago (Aunt Jo is the best!), and I think I love it….despite everyone else hating it, lol!

House full of sick!

Posted by Caitlin on Nov 7, 2008 in Uncategorized

I swear, our house is like a sick house. I feel like crap, Ryan isn’t feeling good, and Abigail isn’t well either. Poor little lady was up more than half the night coughing. She never really cried or anything, though we did go in to check on her a few times. She just kept coughing, and coughing, and coughing. I called her doctor and made an appointment to see them. She’s been sick for a week now, and I just don’t want to take the chance that she’ll get worse, especially with her immune system being a little bit weaker. It’s better to be safe :)

As for me, I think I might call too. I haven’t been sick like this…..in as long as I can remember. I don’t get sick often, especially not for this long. I think a lot of it is allergies, but still. I don’t want to feel like this anymore, and it’s not good for the kids for me to be this way.

Oh well, I suppose I’ll go get ready for Abigail’s appointment. And afterwards, pizza!

Another day….

Posted by Caitlin on Nov 6, 2008 in daily, family

Today has been just that, another day. It hasn’t been real eventful. The hubs came home from his conference in Atlantic City today, and is home for good. It’s nice having him home, although I did enjoy the time had to myself a bit.

So when he came home, he took the little guy for a (much needed) hair cut. It’s only Liam’s second, as he hasn’t really had much hair until recently. He looks so handsome, here’s the before and here’s the after. Too cute, isn’t it?

On another note, my nose is killing me. I’m so congested it’s insane! I’m so tired of feeling like crap all the time, it’s not like me. I don’t get sick often, but I feel like I’ve been fighting something off and on for weeks now. It’s terrible.

Oooh…my tea is boiling! I’m going to get cozy and enjoy it!

It’s over!

Posted by Caitlin on Nov 5, 2008 in school

After all the work, and the nerves…I got through my A+P presentation. I don’t know that was the best presentation I’ve ever done, but it wasn’t that bad. I felt like I had a lot of information, but  I’m not the best when it comes to speaking in front of people. But I survived, and I can’t complain.

On another note, the hubs is in AC for the night, for a convention, he was gone Monday night too. I have to admit, I kind of like being alone. Sometimes I just need my space I guess. So, I don’t have a lot to write about tonight as other than going to class, it’s been a rather uneventful day. I’m going to go get a glass of wine, and catch up on my shows. Good night!

OMG, answers?!

Posted by Caitlin on Nov 4, 2008 in kiddies

So it’s official…we finally have some answers on Abigail, and what’s been going on with her. We’re still a little unsure, and there’s a few more tests to be run. But I think we finally have a diagnoses. It seems that Abigail’s problems with her IgA levels is just that - an IgA defiency. After all the testing for various things, it turns out after rounds of blood work, that’s all it is.

It’s somewhat of a relief, knowing that it isn’t something more serious. I mean, we still have to watch her and all, but she’ll be a normal child and have a normal life. She may even out grow her deficiency. But at least until then, we’ll have to watch her a bit, as she more susceptible to bacterial infections (ear, sinus, pneumonia), but overall it’s not such a bad thing.

I feel like a huge weight was lifted, finally getting answers. Now all we have to do, is do one more round of blood work, and maybe give her some more boosters. That’s the one downside to IgA deficient children - they sometimes require a second round of certain vaccines to ensure that they are covered and protected by it. As much as I hate to stick her with another needle, I keep telling myself it could be much worse.

Overall though, I’m happy to finally have this over with (for the most part), and be able to move on :)

Happy, happy.

Posted by Caitlin on Nov 3, 2008 in Uncategorized

I’m so happy that tomorrow is Election Day. I’m so ready to have this election done and over with. I’ve had enough of the campaign commercials…and enough of all the shit going back and forth from both parties. Besides, if I get one more Myspace bulletin, email, tweet, etc. telling me that Obama is the Anti-Christ or McCain is George Bush all over, I think I’ll scream.

I’m so happy to go and vote tomorrow…not just for getting this campaign bullshit over with, but for getting “Dubya” outta the White House.

Weekend recap.

Posted by Caitlin on Nov 2, 2008 in daily, family, food

This Halloween weekend definitely proved to be a busy one. I don’t even know where to start…

Halloween - Despite a sick husband, and an even sicker little lady, Halloween actually turned out to be a lot of fun. Miss A went as Princess Aurora, which turned out to be the perfect costume for her, since it’s was rather comfortable for her to wear when not feeling well. And the L monster was Goofy, which was perfect for him - and hilarious to see. It was quite the busy day, and both kids were fabulous….although I’m afraid that their good behavior will come back to bite me in the ass sometime in the future. We spent the day doing the parade at my mom’s school, trick or treating with the cousins, and our usual pizza routine with my whole family. It was an overall good day, despite the little lady being so sick. Plus, mommy made out with some good candy…..kidding. kinda.

Saturday was another fun filled day. After my anatomy lab in the morning, we got stuff done around the house because it was FONDUE night! Not to mention, there were apple donuts and pumpkin cheesecake involved…how could anyone go wrong with that? So anyway, John and Steph came over and we did the whole dinner fondue, and the chocolate fondue afterwards for dessert. Nothing like wine and chocolate to make any night perfect.

Sadly, the morning after wasn’t so perfect ;) I woke up feeling absolutely horrible this morning. I guess whatever slight cold I had, on top of whatever Ab and Ryan were fighting, made it’s way to me. It appears I have a horrible cold, sore throat, and fever/chills. I thought I was getting strep, but now I’m thinking it’s not quite as bad as I originally felt like it was. I actually made into work today, and I’m feeling better as I type up this entry. However, I’m about to head right to bed and my comfy covers.

So, on that note….I’m out. I can feel my fever coming back, probably because I’ve been on the go all day. Goodnight :)
